Schon lange haben sich unsere Nutzer ein neues Layout gewünscht - eines, das etwas moderner daherkommt und einige Usability-Probleme der aktuellen Version löst. Heute haben wir die den Release Candidate der neuen YiGG Version 8 zum Testen auf Upcoming gestellt und sind sehr gespannt auf Feedback!

Am morgigen Donnerstag ab 16:10 werde ich im Rahmen der CeBIT Webciety das Panel "App Economy" mit den hochinteressanten Teilnehmern Ilja Laurs (Getjar), Uli Hegge (Burda), Sarik Weber (Nokia) und Taner Kizilok (T-Systems) moderieren.

In 50 Minuten werden wir versuchen, die Bedeutung der Apps für bestehende und neue Unternehmen zu beschreiben und aus individuellen Perspektiven Prognosen über die zukünftige Entwicklung der App Economy abzugeben.

Die Veranstaltung sollte im Livestream übertragen werden! Um die Diskussion interessant zu gestalten, möchte ich Eure Fragen aufnehmen -  twittert sie einfach mit #appeconomy ! Ich werde versuchen, soviele Fragen wie möglich aufzugreifen!

Lost Generation is a palindrome video that reads the same backwards as forward, but has a totally different meaning. The video was submitted in a contest by a 20-year old. The contest was titled “u @ 50″ by AARP. This video won second place. When they showed it, everyone in the room was awe-struck and broke into spontaneous applause.

Ein starker Text des 2008 mit 87 Jahren verstorbenen Edmund N. Carpenter über den Sin des Lebens. Carpenter schrieb den Text als 17-Jähriger. Eine Leseempfehlung.

It may seem very strange to the reader that one of my tender age should already be thinking about that inevitable end to which even the paths of glory lead. However, this essay is not really concerned with death, but rather with life, my future life. I have set down here the things which I, at this age, believe essential to happiness and complete enjoyment of life. Some of them will doubtless seem very odd to the reader; others will perhaps be completely in accord with his own wishes. At any rate, they compose a synopsis of the things which I sincerely desire to have done before I leave this world and pass on to the life hereafter or to oblivion.
